Need to change rear bumper to attach a trailer receiver. Need a bumper with a dip in the middle. Can anyone tell me if a 54-55 (1st) bumper will fit my 48 panel truck.

If you had a Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog, you could look up the brackets and face bars for the two trucks and figure it out for yourself. Unless someone here has attempted the same swap, how would they know any more about than you do?
