2009 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Z71. 41,000 miles.

Truck went into LIMP mode in the middle of the New Mexican desert between Roswell and Tatum, NM. Reading the manual, learned it would reset after being off for 15 seconds. Also, the manual said it wouldn't occur if you turned Traction Control off, but that didn't work. Limp mode and resets allowed us to work our way into Brownfield, TX to get the code read at Autozone.

P2135 error code Throttle Body Position Sensor

I am seeing alot of information online of many of GM Products having this same issue. I was able to re-create all the symptoms (Stabilitrak Service, Traction Control Service, Reduced Engine Power) at the house by disconnecting the throttle body harness while the truck was running.

This should be covered under the 100K mile drivetrain warranty, no? Or is the dealership gonna try to convince me it is electrical and therefore not covered? I've been a lifelong GM owner, but it always scares me to go to the dealership because they always seem to try to get out of performing warranty work.

Anyone else had this issue?

Mine did the same thing is the middle of the Texas panhandle on New Year Day last Year (Sunday). Limped home. Had to turn the engine off every 15 minutes. It was fixed under powertrain warranty.
