Hi everybody! Rear shock mounts rusted away. Is there a source for bolt on replacements or other solution? 1994 K1500 Silverado.

weld them on....or have someone weld them on for you. I am sure any shop with a welder would do it for a modest fee.....? beer.

Thanks for reply, Im a little slow on shocks. Have a welder. Been looking on the net and can't seem to find any mounts. Where should I look?

Great, I was wondering what all those digits were. Will check out the link he provided. Both mounts are rusted off at the frame. Very little metal left. Thank you.

Just checked the link, but couldn't see what I needed. I would think that with all the 4WDers and all the 1500 trucks out there that someone, somewhere would have a solution to this problem. This can't be the only truck to have the mounts rusted off.

OK. Been all over the web and can't find much of anything specifically for the truck. Did find a "shock relocation kit" and a "rear shock bar kit". Has anybody had any experience with either?

Those are riveted on, and can be replaced using Grade 8 hardware. The junkyard would be the cheapest route, but the dealer should be able to get them, but they may be pricey (www.compnine.com shows them for $112 each).

if you can't find them in a junk yard, just find something that 'works'. as long as they are in 'about' the same location, anything will work.
