I am replacing water pump gaskets on an LS1 engine. Parts store sold me Fel Pro Perma Torque MLS gaskets. They look like aluminum impregnated with some sort of flexible compound around the sealing edge.

Do these FelPro PermaTorque MLS gaskets require gasket sealer or should I install them dry? No mention of it anywhere on the packaging.

Thanks.

install them dry onto a clean surface, they are self sealing gaskets

Thanks. I installed them dry. They were blue (FelPro).
