Hey Sarah, I don't know of a place near you that sells them, but why do you need them? If it's for your '89, they won't help. They're designed to go in the rear position of a 4-sensor setup on OBD-II (1996-up) engines when the converters have been removed, so that they don't trip a converter code. They're not for the "main" sensors that feed the computer to help adjust the fuel mixture.

Sensor for a '89 TBI is cheap. Probably cheaper than the "dummy sensor"

like they said, run the sensor if it's a 1 sensor setup. If you chip it, that will probably negate the sensor anyways. I have a 93 with no cat and it still runs great with the 1 O2 sensor in.

Sorry guys,i guess i should have cleared that up. Its not for me. Its for my boyfriend. He's got a 2002 f150 and he just got his exhaust done and had the cats cut off and he just wants them so his SES light goes off, so it tricks the system. he knows his truck will either run rich or lean without the cats, and he knows its illegal and blah blha, haha, but yeah, sorry for the confusion. I tried to post this in a different section of the forum but it wouldnt let me for some reason.
Anyways, thanks guy!!!

I got mine on eBay for about $6.00, (total including shipping)... Works great, no effect on performance or mileage...

FYI: the front O2 sensor should keep the truck from running too lean or rich. The second is to tell if the cat is working...

Google for "O2 Sensor Simulator"

JEGS, Summit Racing, or similar might have them too.

I stand corrected.. My bypass cost $6.00 plus &1.75 shipping.. I ran MIL eliminator in eBay to find the bypass last year..,,, However, there is nothing listed now.. Perhaps eBay will not let him list a bypass anymore.. His email address is/was www.mountain-mods.com .Perhap if you contact him he will still have some available... Good luck...

P.S. I just ran Mountain-Mods.com and found they are still selling the bypass resistors,, but they are are now $14.99. Still a whole cheaper than oxygen sensors. And they work better...
