I am in the process of rebuilding the front end on my 56 Belair and would like to know the torque specs for the idler arm , the tie rod ends, and the upper and lower control arm to body mounting bolts. Any help would be appreciated or if someone could tell me what manual has this info in it.

Thanks guys. I don't have a manual yet. I will check around and find a 56 shop manual.

I think you need to buy the 55 manual and the 56 supplement.

Welcome to CT. The most addictive forum on the net!!!

What wasn't mentioned is the '56 manual is ONLY a supplement to the '55. The '56 contains the things that were different than '55. A lot of the info you will need will come from the '55 manual. While you're buying, also get the assembly manual. These three manuals are the cornerstone to doing work on your car yourself.

'56 4-door BelAir, 350, Holley 600, Eddie intake, TKO 600, CPP P/S and A arms, Sierra Gold & Adobe Beige
2010 VW Jetta S/W, 2.5, 5-cyl,6-spd auto.
